My skincare routine

I really hate my skin: it's greasy, dry and very, very spotty. No matter what I use, I can't seem to keep it looking nice and not feeling too horrid. I can for a while and then it's almost as if my skin develops immunity to the products.

That being said, I switched up my skincare about a month ago and it seems to be holding up reasonably well so far, so I thought I would share it with you.

Clinique Anti Blemish Solutions 3-Step System
I have wanted this for so long, and that want was amplified when Ingrid (Missglamorazzi on YouTube) talked about how much it was a saviour for her oily skin. I've been using it twice daily for about a month now and my blemishes are starting to clear up. I have to say it is quite drying, which is probably a good thing, but the drier patches of my skin are not appreciating it too much.
I have also been using their spot treatment gel to fight off spots before they start to appear, and I think it's working, but there are still some that seem to sneak through, which is quite annoying.

Review: Glossybox UK February 2014

Okay, so I thought I would do a little review of all the products in the February 2014 Glossybox now I've had a chance to try them all out (There won't be a chocolate review - lets just say I devoured it instantly!). There's no particular order to this post, just written as I remember the items.

Haul: 24th March 2014

March has been a crazy spending spree for me. And while I've enjoyed it, my bank account is crying out for mercy. So, if I spend any more money, you all have permission to shout at me in the comments!

Today, I was feeling a little stir crazy so I took a trip into town for a few hours, and my bank card got a serous workout - in only two shops: Primark and Superdrug

Primark have really been on it recently with their clothes and jewellery. I didn't actually get much, but saw loads that I wanted to get, and I'm sure I will (especially their summer stuff for my holiday in June!)
However, I did get a couple of t-shirts and a pair of shoes:

UNBOXING: Glossybox UK March 2014

This is a little later than it would be normally because I missed my delivery and had to have it redelivered. Also, sorry for my silence recently, I was at home over the weekend and didn't have anything that I could blog about.

We're back to he "usual" box design this month, but I still don't like it... It honestly just seems pointless to have changed them. I wouldn't have minded if they had always been like this but they haven't and I'm just not sure why they changed them now.

HAUL: Primark, Urban Decay, Barry M and more!

I decided to mega treat myself after finishing a rather stressful uni assignment, so I headed into town on Saturday and splurged a little.

My biggest spend was most definitely the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. This was in my wish list last week, and has been on my wish list since it debuted in December. I haven't used it much yet, but I'm so excited to use all 12 shades, they're just stunning.
Urban Decay Naked Palettes retail for £37

My Beauty Wishlist: March 2014

There's so many beauty products that I don't own but really want to. My wishlist this month is mainly products that have been out for ages, but that I haven't been able to get/or afford, but there's a couple of new nail varnish products that I'm desperate to try.

What's in my make-up bag: everyday edition

I thought I'd make a what's in my make-up bag for everyday use (I don't use everything that I've featured every single day)
I have a large Ted Baker bow wash bag that I use for my make-up

Review: Max Factor Colour Elixir lipstick (with swatches)

The packaging is beautiful, gold with a pop of colour at the base and the Max Factor name and logo almost embossed into the gold. Whilst it looks high-end, it feels quite cheap.

Review: Nivea Daily Essentials- Express Hydration Primer

Now, I bought this around August last year, and if I'd had a blog at that point, this product would have been slated to hell!

I really needed a new primer and thought I'd try this one out (I definitely had a Nivea offer on my superdrug beautycard oops), but at the time, I wished I hadn't bothered.
I bought the normal/combination formula as opposed to the dry formula, as I have combination/greasy skin, and I don't think they have one for greasy skin. It was AWFUL! My makeup would slide off faster than if I wasn't wearing any primer, so I pushed it to one side and forgot about it.

UNBOXING: Glossybox UK February 2012

The February box, as always, is a valentines themed. This means that the box is a special design.
Now, I'm not a huge fan of the boxes that deviate from the usual design, and this is no exception. In fact, I think this is my least favourite of them all - it just looks SO tacky!
(Sidenote: I'm not a fan of the new box and ribbon designs, there was nothing wrong with the old ones and I liked using the ribbons in my hair)

Welcome to my new blog, What Katy Blogged

I am a 20 year old student from Manchester, with a huge passion for beauty. I don't have the best skills with a foundation brush, nor do I have the best collection, but I do have heart and I want to share my love with the world.
I don't expect my blog to be successful (heck, I'm not a great writer) but every read will be highly appreciated.
So, enjoy!
And thanks for reading
