The packaging is beautiful, gold with a pop of colour at the base and the Max Factor name and logo almost embossed into the gold. Whilst it looks high-end, it feels quite cheap.
The base showcases the colour, name and code of each of the lipsticks.
And the bullet features Max Factor's signature "X", as does the packaging.
As for the colours, they are highly pigmented and very creamy. Short term, they feel very nourishing on the lips, but dry out in the long-term. I recommend a balm beforehand to nourish the lips and try and avoid the unappealing cracked lip look. The colour is very long-lasting though
The shades swatches here are Stardust Pink*, Magenta Divine*, Bewitching Coral and Ruby Tuesday. (*Please note: Stardust Pink and Magenta Divine are not available in the UK)
The four shades I tried are beautiful colours and very flattering shades:
Stardust Pink is a your-lips-but-better dusky pink, my favourite of the four.
Magenta Divine is a bright, summery pink shade.
Bewitching Coral is a flattering orange-pink, a more muted summer shade than Magenta Divine, for someone who wants to wear a pink but not brave enough for a magenta.
Ruby Tuesday is a pink-based red, probably the most "dressy" shade of the four.
Max Factor Colour Elixir lipsticks retail for £7.99
