We're back to he "usual" box design this month, but I still don't like it... It honestly just seems pointless to have changed them. I wouldn't have minded if they had always been like this but they haven't and I'm just not sure why they changed them now.
Nothing new or special with the glossymag and info card this month, but apparently our theme is "beauty blossom".. Seems Glossybox are taking Spring in their stride!
Products wise, I got three full-sized items, one 40ml sample, and two perfume samples (I actually groaned when I saw these). Value-wise, it's not too bad though, coming in at a total of £28.85.
I seriously hate going perfume samples. I'm really really specific with my perfume, and 99% of the time, the Glossybox perfume samples are not going to cut it. Not only that, but they're worth les than a pound each, and most of the time you can get a perfume sample for free at a perfume counter. I received the Couture La La (pink) and the Juicy Couture (orange) perfumes, both in Malibu. First impressions, the pink one smells quite nice and very girly and I *might* wear it, but I'm really not feeling the orange one.
These are both 1.5ml samples, and the 75ml versions retail for £47 each.
I'd heard something about Sleek Make Up's Pout Polish being in this months Glossybox, and I was really excited, because I love sleek make up and it's something that I've wanted to try for a while now. But of course, Glossybox let me down and sent me the shade Chocolate Kiss, which if you can't tell, is a mid-brown shade. Now, I am just one shade away from being an actual ghost, and obviously brown is not my thing. This isn't even the first time that they've sent me a brown lip shade and I've been left with an utterly useless product, last year I got a dark brown lipstick. Honestly, it's times like these when I wonder if they should even bother with the profile survey, because I've made it pretty clear that I'm a pale one.
This is a full-size product and retails for £4.49.
This is the Mitchell and Peach Body Cream in English Growers. It's a 40ml sample which is qute a generous size, and should last a couple of applications. I'm not especially excited to try this, because it's not got a perticularly nice smell to it, which is a shame, because I put a little bit on my arm and it's gone super soft, I just don't think I could stand the smell enough to use it frequently or all over.
This is a 40ml sample. The full-size is 180ml, and retails for £36.
I've had something by Bellápierre Cosmetics before, but I honestly cannot remember what it was, so it mustn't have made a very good impression. This is one of their Shimmer Powders in the shade Harmony, which looks to be a shimmery, neutral bronze shade. I really love wearing neutral brown shades on my eyes, so hopefully this Mica eyeshadow will get used a lot. According to the card that comes with the Glossybox, this is a multi-purpose product that can be used with lipgloss, blusher and even nail polish to create custom make up. Not so sure about that, but it will be interesting to see...
This is a full-sized product and retails for £12.99.
Finally, we have the Dove 60 Second Treatment Shot in Intensive Repair. I received a tresemmé one of these in a Glossybox a while back, and I never used it because I didn't want to fall in love with it and then keep shelling out money for more and more. They're inexpensive, but when you think that it's just for one treatment, they seem quite expensive. I will definitely try boy of them now though, my hair is getting a bit sad and matted recently, and could do with some TLC.
This is a full-sized product and retails for £1.49.
Glossybox is a monthly subscription box, available for £10 plus shipping from Glossybox.co.uk
Did anyone get anything different in their box? Has anyone tried anything that I had in mine? Let me know in the comments!
