Review: Glossybox UK February 2014

Okay, so I thought I would do a little review of all the products in the February 2014 Glossybox now I've had a chance to try them all out (There won't be a chocolate review - lets just say I devoured it instantly!). There's no particular order to this post, just written as I remember the items.

Tony & Guy Stick It Up Gum

I told you all that I was going to give it to my boyfriend to try, well he gave it a BIG thumbs down. We have a friend that it looked really good on, but it just did not look good on my guy - his hair is just too thin. So, its a good one for thick hair, or even maybe a lot of thin hair, but if you've only got a bit of thin hair, its probably not for you.

Maybelline Master Kajal Liner in Black
This is a good product for a thick line with no wing, but my preferred liner is a bit thinner, more defined and with a definite wing. I'll probably keep this as a standby liner for if I ever feel like a wing isn't appropriate, or even if I just can't be bothered, but it won't be a liner of choice. Also, I just can't see it holding its shape for very long. I only used mine a couple of times and already its kind of worn down and much less sharp. Like I said, I won't completely dismiss it - I might even come back to it one day and absolutely love it. I must mention though - one of my housemates uses this, and she says it's her favourite ever liner. I guess it's just personal choice!

Ciate London Paint Pot in Sugared Almonds
Now, I've made it pretty obvious that I L-O-V-E Ciate (a post that I have lined up in the future is definitely going to prove that!) and this is most certainly no exception. I'm still not 100% sold on the colour (I really just can't tell if it suits me) but the pigmentation is great, it only needs a couple of coats, and it doesn't chip easily. They're really expensive to buy on their own (£9), but I personally think they're worth it.

Miners Cosmetics Cocktail Kiss Lipgloss in Mudslide
I am seriously still not sold on this one. I don't know if it's just that I hate lipgloss, but I don't see the hype with this stuff. Its definitely not a flattering shade for me, and I doubt I'll go back to it. Saying that, it might be okay for when I'm on my holidays and have a bit of a tan. We'll see.

Nougat London Sparkling Body Shimmer in Cherry Blossom
I still stand by the fact that this is one of the nicest smelling products I have ever owned, but I just can't see myself actually using it. When wearing it, I felt like a sparkly vampire and I just felt really self-conscious that people were looking at me for my sparkle. I'll probably keep it around, I'm sure I'll eventually have a use for it, but for right now, it's a no-go for me.

Glossybox is a monthly subscription box available for £10 plus shipping from Glossybox.co.uk
