I have seen Taylor before, I was in the fifth row for the Speak Now tour in 2011, and having seen two shows by her, I can honestly say that she just gets better and better! Even the fact that we were sitting in the Gods didn't harm the performance because she sure knows how to play to a phenomenal crowd! She seemed totally overwhelmed by the Manchester crowd, and I think I was really lucky to be in the audience of this show in particular because she really seemed to love us!
The set list was absolutely perfect, featuring mostly songs from 1989 (including Clean, which definitely made my dad happy as it's his favourite song off the album), but she also sang a few songs from previous albums, including We Are Never Getting Back Together, and a 1989'd version of Love Story, which was really fantastic! However, my favourite song of the night was a mash-up of Wildest Dreams and Enchanted, something I was not expecting, and was definitely happy to hear! While Wildest Dreams isn't my favourite song off 1989, Enchanted is my favourite song of all time, and it was fantastic to hear a little bit of it on this tour, having heard the whole song live four years ago on the Speak Now tour, and therefore definitely not expecting it this time round!
The stage itself was awesome, a rising, rotating catwalk which allowed for Taylor to get much closer to the crowds. While this was great for those of us in the seated areas, who were really quite far away from the stage, I don't know if this was too good for those who had seats on the floor, as there will have been a lot of time where the stage was literally on the top of them!
My dad was in charge of the camera and managed to get some fantastic shots, even though we were so far away, and looking back at them now makes me nostalgic and wish it was 24 hours ago, about to see it all again!
Also, Taylor is literally so adorkable, one of the dancers made her laugh during Bad Blood, and she had a little laughing fit, as can be seen on her tumblr here! She's such a sweetie pie, and I wish I could see her again soon...
